diggogle? Google acquiring Digg?

According to techcrunch Google is on the hunt for Digg once again and are close to a deal. If it goes through Digg will be under the Google News property (whatever that means).

Are you sitting down? Are you ready for the money part? $200 Million – says one source (Kevin’s Mom perhaps?)

The Digg CEO, Jay Adelson, denies that the negotiations are going on and may be holding out for more C A S H ! (I added that part).

I just hope those two drunk guys on the couch continue to show the world you CAN drink on the job and still rake in the Benjamins!

Multi-colored ipods? What the……

According to 9to5Mac, The new iPod nano will be multi-colored plus the storage will double and new features blah blah…But Multi-colored…really Apple…Really? huh. Really?

Four new Apple stores opening soon!

What does Liverpool England, Montreal Quebec, Glendale Arizona and Charleston South Carolina all have in common? Well if you read the title, you already know. They are all new Apple stores opening this weekend.

The Montreal Apple store will be Canada’s first true flagship store which includes a beautiful glass facade. Check it out at 1321 Ste-Catherine Ouest, Friday at 5PM.

The Glendale Arizona Store is located at 7700 West Arrowhead Towne Center
Glendale. Saturday July 26th 10AM.

The Charleston South Carolina Store is located at 301 King St. Charleston. Saturday July 26th 10AM.

Updates Galore – iPhoto, iMovie, iWeb and iLife

Apple has updated the iLife suite of applications:

iMovie 7.1.4

iLife 8.3

iWeb 2.0.4

Steve should Leave?

Personally I think Steve Jobs is brilliant, one of my favorite people to look up to.
But recently there has been a lot of buzz about his health and how long he will stay at Apple.

Of course no one besides Steve knows the answers to these questions but there is an interesting read by Leigh McMullen over at “cult of mac” about if Steve should step down. Check it out HERE.

MacBook Touch – Coming Soon???

The buzz is in the air about an upcoming release of a MacBook Touch! So the screen of the MacBook will be like the iPhone but with more multi-touch features! It will include all the goodies – SuperDrive, GPS, Accelerometer – App store compatible and will run regular mac ones as well! Should be out around October, that is if this whole rumor is true!

During the Financial Results Conference Call, July 21, 2008 – Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer was quoted saying “We are working to develop new products that contains technologies that our competition will not be able to match. I cannot discuss these new products, but we are very confident in our product pipeline.”

Very interesting…..
I hope so, this sounds like the perfect laptop for me!
