Mitsubishi ARLEDIA DVDs Last Twice As Long As Standard Discs
By Luke Anderson
I’ve really never put much thought into how I store my DVDs and CDs. Movies are stored in their original boxes in cabinets sitting in my living room. Most CDs are either strewn about on my desk or arranged neatly in binders. Unfortunately none of these methods is all that great for long term disc storge.
Mitsubishi has created the ARLEDIA DVD-R discs that are said to have twice the life expectancy of regular DVDs. They accomplish this by using a gold and silver reflective film which prevents oxidation. No word on pricing or availability.

Everex gPC mini against Mac Mini?
It is true that these two could be potential arch-enemies, but the thing that annoys me the most is that it would not have cost a whole lot more to get a decent, not great, but *decent* design for the Everex computer (yes, I dislike the bright patch on the front). Couldn’t they make the whole thing black? It would have been even less expensive to produce. Question: do Linux users care about design? Add a comment below.
I like the form-factor of these small computers, but unless I can turn them into media centers (the TV Tuner is missing) or unless I want to do a crazy mod.

“Hey, I can't watch my favorite lip sync video on YouTube, what gives?” Blame it on Pakistan. No problem….Youtube is back for all of us that love blasphemy! Speaking of YouTube, here is a 3 year old little girl explaining Star Wars.

Apple has released software version 1.1.4 for the iPhone and iPod touch. According to Apple, the update “includes bug fixes and supersedes all previous versions.” It is currently unclear whether any new features have been added with the update; however, with Apple scheduled to release the iPhone and iPod touch software development kit (SDK) this week, it is possible that this update could be a precursor to that release.
