WWDC 08 Keynote: Bang or Bust?
We’re almost there. The WWDC is due to kick off on Monday with Steve Jobs’ keynote address… and we can finally put all of the rumors and speculating to bed. What do you think 100% for sure absolutely positive YES is going to be announced at the keynote? (I realize that last sentence didn’t make much sense).
There are three things that I’m keeping my fingers crossed about… Am sincerely hoping they all get announced at the keynote…The chances are slim, but heck, wouldn’t it be nice?
Obviously first and foremost will be the 3G iPhone announcement. That is almost a certainty. Will be great to see what the new iPhone has packed into it, what options it has, and more…
Next on my list would be the iPhone App Store. That has to be coming soon. Would make sense to launch this to coincide with the new iPhone.
Last on my list would be the launch of the iPhone internationally. Will there be announcements of the iPhone going green in Canada, Italy, Greece, and Australia to name a few? Rumors were that Apple was coordinating a massive international launch of the iPhone all around or on the same date. That would be great, and I can speak for other Canadians when I say ‘About GD Time!’
Of course, there have been so many more rumors including new iPhones coming in multiple colors, video conferencing via iChat on the iPhone, a slimmer and lighter iPhone, and a whole lot more… I’m sure you’ve read or heard all of the rumors by now.
So much to speculate on, I’m just happy this will be coming to an end next week. I’m hoping that the keynote delivers more than we are expecting… But we’ll have to wait and see.
What do you think? What is the WWDC Keynote going to deliver? …and will it be a bang or a bust!?
We all know Twitter is going through some growing pains. Some people want to shut it down until it gets “fixed”, saying people will find something new or more reliable….If there was somewhere to turn.
We need to remember Twitter is FREE. It tells your buddies that you just had a taco, or check out the latest iPhone rumor, it’s not set up for rocket surgery! No one will be killed or die if your co-worker doesn’t get your TV viewing update. OK, it did help out that one dude in Egypt.
I just think we should give twitter a chance to make things right with out beating them up. They are at least looking for people – check out their jobs, they need a Operations Engineer, Systems Engineer and a Front End Engineer.
What would be the best idea for twitter, sell it, fix it, scrap it?
Twitter me with your thoughts…..when it comes back on-line!

Breaking: Exclusive leaked pics of the iPhone 2! Thinner design? Different colors? Video chatting?
Crunchgear provides some more pics and speculation…In my opinion – I don’t think Apple would use that goofy ass looking guy (no offense Carlos) to promote their new holy grail phone!
It wasn’t long ago that my inbox was full of screen caps from an image editing program of a new iPod, it was a fat yet small iPod that we now know as the 3rd gen Nano. We posted the photos and were later told by Apple’s legal team to take them down.
A similar tipster tonight has very generously given us these pics of the iPhone 2, or iPhone 3G as some are calling it. Like the Fat Nano from last summer, the images come from Apple or AT&T promotional material that shows not just the new iPhone, but also gives away a couple secrets.
It’s thinner than the current model, for sure, with a more MacBook Air-like bezeling. It’s got stereo speakers on the back and what appears to be the same screen as the current generation. But the real news here isn’t the Exchange support, but the front facing camera for iChat AV.
Oh yes, it’s there. Not only is the new iPhone smaller and more capable, but it also comes in red as part of the Product (Red) campaign, like many iPods do.
