TypePad announces mobile blogging iPhone application
Typepad, the platform of choice for a ton of popular blogs (Cute Overload!), has announced a mobile blogging application for the iPhone.
Key points from the announcement:
- Blog on the go,
- Focuses on photo blogging. You can snap a new photo for uploading, or grab one from your albums.
- Free, available at App store launch
With mobile blogging becoming more and more popular each day, iPhone support is pretty much a must for the entire array of platforms. Expect WordPress to launch a comparable application for their platform.

Hi,
I’m not sure why a mobile blogging application for the phone is needed. I have just a regular camera phone and manage to live mobile photo blog quite a bit with it. OK, I admit that it’s a pain to compose on that phone, but that’s a function of the phone and has nothing to do with whether or not I have mobile blogging software loaded. I think this TypePad offering is a “nice to have” but not necessary to the pursuit of mobile blogging, with or without photos.

I agree, I have been taking pics and posting them for a few years now without any app. Maybe it comes with some great bells and whistle but if it doesn’t, I will stick to what I’ve been doing. 🙂
