Sellers told to Stock Up on MacBooks & iPods – New Ones Coming?!?

A3077954-A988-4E80-B27C-BF5BED1AC7FB.jpgThinking about getting a new MacBook or iPod? STOP, WAIT, DON’T DO IT!!!

All signs are pointing towards a refresh. That means new MacBooks, MacBook Pros (I hope) and iPods. There has been a lot of buzz about the iPhone 2.1 firmware containing hints of a new iPod Touch and all those rumors about the new MacBooks with a glass trackpad only make these rumors sound more plausible.

Save your $ for now and get ready for the new stuff.

Amazing Desktop Wallpaper Calendars for August 08 • Smashing Magazine

A67FB6CB-2B46-4E73-81CC-06B977101168.jpg

I enjoy finding quality wallpaper to place on my desktop every now-and-again to spice up my dull life and every month Smashing Magazine provides the nicest you can find. Like this one by Maryam Kazerooni from US / Iran.

The best part about these particular Desktop pics is they all have a monthly calendar right there for your viewing pleasure. No need to fumble through that drawer or click on that calendar button, simply look up and all your questions can be answered. (as long as they are calendar based)

Is your new 3G iPhones cracking???

C6B64490-9B13-4D90-8DAC-417E50067F68.jpgAre the new plastic backs on the 3G iPhones cracking?

There seems to be some reports of the back of the new iPhones cracking.

I have had my iPhone for only a week (black) and I don’t see any problems yet but there are discussion about it at the Apple forums and on various web sites. MacRumors & Engadget Mobile.

As of now, it seems to only be effecting the White iPhone.

Is your iPhone cracking???

1,001 iPhone apps – so far…..

A049C38E-02AE-44FE-BDB0-C1E7352D76BC.jpgAccording to FORTUNE:

“The number of offerings on the App Store — the venue for independently produced programs that helps distinguish Apple’s smartphone from all others — hit 1,001 on Monday night.

That’s roughly double the number that were available when the store opened just over two weeks ago (on July 11, the same day the iPhone 3G went on sale), and includes popular games like Texas Hold’em and Crash Bandicoot, business tools like Bloomberg News and Salesforce Mobile, and social networking programs like Facebook, MySpace and AIM. Roughly 20% of the apps are free; 90% cost $10 or less. Most also work on the iPod touch.”

Now we just need Apple to weed out the bad ones……

New MacBook Rumor: Glass trackpad?

8D90B3AC-5953-44FB-81DA-FA7ECEC3017E.jpgSeth Weintraub is reporting some interesting rumors about the NEW MacBook and MacBook Pros which are due out the last weeks of Sept. (keep in mind this is a rumor)

Insiders are saying the new ones will be thinner, more rounded and the track pad will be made of glass, what? Glass. Body constructed from one piece of eco-friendly aluminum.

Very interesting news, as I have stated numerous times before – I need a new Laptop! Come on Apple release something.

MobileMe Status – up to date and sad

616E0C73-D4F0-4A2A-8673-C3B52D9A1FBB.jpg
Apparently due to the not so stellar roll-out of MobileMe and the fact people are not getting their e-mail – you can now see the status updates HERE. So now you can find out if me.com is working.

A statement from todays update: “restoring full email access to the remaining 1% of MobileMe users is our first priority. ”

Let’s hope the next priority is to fix the iphone 2.0 software!!!
