Timex TX54 – The perfect timepiece for the Fonz

290AE046-B8AB-4BF8-B02F-3E8FFF8CFDA1.jpgTimex collaborated with Core77 and came up with “THE FUTURE OF TIME”.
This cool idea didn’t even win First place but a as one of the runners up, the TX54 concept is a disposable timepiece that can be worn on your thumbnail.
From the pics it looks like it has the time, date and even comes in different colors!

A quote from Core77 – “TX54 is a disposable timepiece that is worn on the user’s thumbnail. While its translucency makes it blend seamlessly with the hand, a selection of text color options and a glow feature that activates on command make it easy to read.”

I can’t wait to get my hands….uh….thumbs on this one!

Old school GEEK – Cassette-face watch

Cassette-face watch tells time like a boom box

I absolutely dig the spinning chronological reels of this £35 Casette Face watch. It just needs a small cache for MP3s to be absolutely perfect, though I’d settle for a transformation into Laserbeak.

The Hamilton Code Breaker Watch actually breaks no codes, but still looks ace! The code breaker watch is made from titanium and comes in two versions. The larger version contains an auto chrono movement. Around the case you will notice small, raised metal dots while the time is easy to read due to clearly written digits.

It is designed to look the part of a sci-fi movie, and it certainly does. With a hefty price tag of $1995, you will be making a statement by wearing one of these.

Cell Phone watch…looks cool!

Van Der Led’s WM2 cellphone is Slayer approved

Can it be? Why… why yes, a watch with integrated cellphone we might (might!) actually wear. The Van Der Led WM2 is a quad-band GSM watch with itty bitty 1.3-inch, 260k color touchscreen display, stereo Bluetooth, up to 240-hours of standby or 300-minutes talk, and 1GB of storage for a few of your MP3 or MP4 files. Better yet, from a distance, those uber geeky keys on the numeric pad look just like the glittering wrist studs capable of mesmerizing Death Metal, she-groupies backstage. Yours for €300 (about $471 US Rubbles) starting Monday.

The receiver unit comes with a 2.5 inch LCD and the capability of monitoring 4 wireless cameras at a time, playing music and even MPEG 4 movies if the mood takes you.

Get ready to shell out $378.75 but hey, 007 needs some cool gadgets!

what time is it Mr. Roboto?

Vintage Tin Robot Concept Watch

The Vintage Tin Robot Concept Watch is a joy to behold, featuring user-friendly functions despite looking more complicated than taking a car apart and putting it back together again. The left eye is the hour register, while the right eye features GMT indication. As for the nose region joint with the mouth region, you get seconds and retrograde minutes placements respectively. The Mr. Roboto watch is powered by automatic winding movement, boasting 25 jewels to get your bling factor up whenever you enter a swanky venue. You will be able to pick up the Mr. Roboto watch this September as long as you have at least $4,800 lying in your bank account.
