The word is spreading fast about the New iPhone App from WordPress. According to the worpress blog, they are getting very close with this post – “Just a quick update that we’ve successfully uploaded the app to the iTunes Store, and the status message “In Review” indicates that the Apple team is conducting their testing procedures. We have not been provided with an ETA — so it could get approved at any time.”
There are already 41 positive comments and I too can’t wait for this much anticipated App to get approved!

Timex collaborated with Core77 and came up with “THE FUTURE OF TIME”.
This cool idea didn’t even win First place but a as one of the runners up, the TX54 concept is a disposable timepiece that can be worn on your thumbnail.
From the pics it looks like it has the time, date and even comes in different colors!
A quote from Core77 – “TX54 is a disposable timepiece that is worn on the user’s thumbnail. While its translucency makes it blend seamlessly with the hand, a selection of text color options and a glow feature that activates on command make it easy to read.”
I can’t wait to get my hands….uh….thumbs on this one!
Looks like Facebook got a facelift (the cheesiest line ever written)
According to their blog the new features are:
A simplified top menu: we’ve moved the Applications menu from the left side of the page to the top menu, giving everyone a little more space to breathe. You can access all of the usual links through the menus for “Profile” “Friends” “Applications” and “Inbox”. The Search box has moved to the right side of the top menu.
Tabbed Profiles: The new profile keeps everything organized through tabs. The Wall tab features the most recent content by you and your friends. The Info tab features personal information like contact info and your interests. The Photos tab showcases photos of you and your albums, and the Boxes tab is home to all your application boxes. You can add new tabs to feature your favorite applications.
The new Wall: The new Wall tab integrates the most recent content you’ve added, recent actions you’ve taken, and recent posts and comments from friends. You can enlarge, shrink, or remove posts entirely in order to feature your favorites.
The Publisher Box: The Publisher box—at the top of your Wall tab—is a new central location for adding photos, notes, videos, application content, updating your status, and so on. Anything you add will immediately appear on your Wall.
New Application Interactions: instead of needing to “add” an application, you now can “allow it access” and use it for a little while before deciding to add it to your profile, allow it to publish posts on your behalf, and so on.

Today is the day we hear about how well Apple’s doing (we hope).
But according to the nypost – “Apple’s hedge fund investors are very worried,” said a Wall Street source who has spoken with some of the company’s stakeholders.”
Not good news but I think it will be a wait-and-see kinda day.
Of course there is STILL a lot of speculation about Steve Jobs health.
There have been no updates from inside Apple about Mr. Jobs recovery from the “bug” he had during the WWDC – so no news is ALL bad-news speculation…
On the Apple-Support-MobileMe web page it states – “1% of MobileMe members cannot access MobileMe Mail. We apologize for any inconvenience”
but TUAW reports – “TUAW reader Drew told us: “Just got off the phone with AppleCare and they tell me MobileMe email is going to be down for 2-3 days, and that it’s the whole system, not just the 1% as noted on the support site. Those of us that use .me as a work address are hosed. Normally I wouldn’t care but I have 2 photoshoots to coordinate Sunday. Is it me, or does this feel like a M$ launch?”
I have had numerous problems with MobileMe and the iPhone 2.0 software as well!
It is driving me crazy and can’t understand how Apple can release this upon the world with NO updates in site!
A great read from macenstein (another unhappy iPhone 2.0 user) – Where the #$%@ is the iPhone 2.0.1 firmware?!
Besides waiting to purchase the new iPhone 3G, I have been keeping a keen eye out for new MacBooks! According to digitimes “Apple increased its procurement of notebook-use printed circuit boards (PCB) by 20%” I hope this means the new MacBooks are on the way!
I need a new one BAD!
Are you looking forward to the new Notebooks?
As of 8am EST there are ONLY 2 states that have the iPhone 3G.
Michigan – 16GB White
New Hampshire – 16GB White
– According to Apple’s own iPhone availability webpage – Check it out HERE.
I check everyday with my fingers crossed since I was not in one of those 3-8 hour lines for the first roll-out.
It looks like I will be waiting longer than I hoped!
